Scotland Squad For Norway Box Cup Announced

Six of Scotland's top amateur boxers will be competing in the Box Cup in Oslo on the 20th to the 24th of January.

The squad is as follows:

60kg Mitch Prince (Broadwood)
64kg Mark Hastie (Forgewood)
69kg Fundo Mhura (Sparta)
75kg Craig McEwan (Clovenstone)
81kg Kenny Anderson (Craigmillar)
91kg Steve Simmons (Leith Victoria)

Accompanying the boxers on their trip to Norway will be coaches Dr John McKay and Tony Kerr and manager Jim Watt.

Squad training sessions will be back to normal when John McKay returns from Norway on the 24th and he is also running a two day Level 2 Boxing Coaches' Course at the Palace Of Arts, Belahouston Park, Glasgow on Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th of January. Both days are a requirement and the course runs from 9.30am to 4.00pm on each day.
