Victor Polo has now lost four world title shots - all on split decisions - and his camp left the Braehead Arena on Friday night in no doubt that they were the victims of hometown judging.
"Everyone saw Polo winning here against Harrison,´" said Polo's manager, Pedro Bossio. "Polo won at least five rounds and Scott maybe two with the others drawn.
"Harrison is a basic performer. He is very focused, determined, brave and strong, but he does not have the ability or skills that Polo has. I told people he will look like an amateur in front of Polo and that is what happened.
"We hope there is a chance of the rematch but we do not want to fight in Glasgow."
Scott Harrison has already promised Polo a rematch, although whether it will take place in Polo's preferred venue of Las Vegas - or even at all - remains to be seen.
Las Vegas could well be the perfect stage for Scott to beat Polo in front of an American audience and line up this much talked about "super fight", and despite coming close to losing his title in their first encounter, Harrison would win a rematch. He was nowhere near his best on Friday night.
It's not clear however that Harrison's management team will want him to fight Polo again and certainly not away from Glasgow.
TV commentator and former World Champion Jim Watt said that he doesn't see any reason for Scott Harrison to fight Victor Polo again anyway and sees Michael Brodie as a better option.
"I had Polo one round up at the end of it and personally I thought Scott had lost his title. But you can't complain about a verdict when almost everybody has got it within a round of each other.
"His career hasn't be harmed in the slightest. He came into the ring with a title and he has gone back out with the same title. He is exactly where he was, but he hasn't enhanced his reputation and it was a struggle for him from start to finish.
"If you have a game of football and somebody wins 1-0 you don't say there must be a rematch so why should boxing? Because it's not a bad decision. A rematch would be nice, and the fans would pay for a rematch. It would give Scott the chance to put it beyond doubt.
"I would always favour Scott against Michael Brodie. Brodie has been involved in so many hard fights."
