Ian Millarvie Back In Action

Just three weeks after his successful professional debut, Hamilton heavyweight Ian Millarvie will be back in the ring on Monday night at the St Andrew's Sporting Club in Glasgow.

Following his fourth round stoppage of Mal Rice on Burn's Night, 23 year old Millarvie will face 30 fight veteran Luke Simpkin from Swadlincote.

Millarvie's manager and St Andrew's Sporting Club owner, Tommy Gilmour, said, "We have been inundated with requests from members for Ian to box at the Club after his debut win. Simpkin has boxed some of our top heavyweights including a draw with Julius Francis who lost on points to Audley Harrison. This will be a tough fight but he is the type necessary to prepare Ian for the future."

Millarvie will be joined on Monday's show by British Masters Super Featherweight Champion Andrew Ferrans, undefeated Light-Welterweight Mike Reid and Glenrothes Lightweight Stuart Green who has three wins out of four starts as a professional.
