The West Of Scotland beat a stong London Select team 5-4 at a packed Greenock Town Hall last Friday night to claim the Danny Lee Senior Trophy.
The score was 4-4 going into the last bout where Leith Victoria's Fundo Mhura stopped Aaron Khan of Earlsfield in the first round to give the Scots victory.
Gerard Shields won best home boxer and Earlsfield's Bradley Skeets was awarded best away boxer.
The night started with three bouts involving local clubs and the results were as follows:
Gary McCafferty (Greenock) bt Conor McGregor (Springside) 5-3
Damien Murray (Springside) bt Andrew McKim (Greenock) 11-10
Chad Cummings (Greenock) bt R Larque (Clovestone) 8-5
In the main event of the night, nine bouts were contested. Mark Hastie's opponent called off on the day, and Broadwood's Mitch Prince fought a cracker of an exhibition bout against another Earlsfield boxer, David Khan.
